Terms of Use

The rules for ordering drinking water through the Awbar app — what you can expect from us, and what we expect from you.

Last updated 9 October 2026

Who you are dealing with

Awbar is a drinking-water delivery business in Erbil, Kurdistan Region, Iraq. Using the app means accepting these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not place an order.

Your account

You sign in with your mobile number and a one-time code. Keep access to that number secure — anyone who can receive its messages can sign in as you. Give a real name and a real delivery address; a driver cannot deliver to an address that does not exist.

Orders

  • An order is a request, not a contract, until the shop confirms it. You will be told when it is accepted.
  • The shop may refuse or cancel an order — for example when an item has run out, the address is outside the delivery area, or the order cannot be reached.
  • You can cancel yourself in the app up until the shop begins preparing it. After that, call the shop.
  • You are shown a delivery code; give it to the driver at the door so the order is handed to the right person.

Prices, bottles and deposits

Prices are shown in Iraqi dinars in the app and include what is stated at checkout. Some containers are returnable: you pay a deposit on each new bottle and the deposit is not charged again when you hand an empty one back at delivery. Have your empties ready when the driver arrives.

Prices can change. The price you are shown when you place an order is the price for that order.

Delivery

Delivery times and slots are estimates, not guarantees — traffic and weather affect them. Someone must be available at the address to receive the order and hand over any empties. If nobody can be reached, the driver may record the delivery as failed and the shop will be in touch.

Payment

Cash on delivery is always available. Where online payment is offered, it is handled by a payment provider — card details are never seen or stored by Awbar or the app. If an online payment fails, the order waits for you to try again or to switch to cash.

Refunds

If an order is cancelled before delivery, nothing is charged; anything already paid online is returned through the same provider. If something arrives damaged or wrong, tell the shop and it will be replaced or refunded.

Using the app properly

Do not use the app to place false orders, to disrupt the service, or to try to reach other people's accounts or data. Accounts doing so may be closed.

What we do not promise

We work to keep the app available and correct, but it is provided as it is. We are not responsible for losses beyond the value of the order concerned, except where the law does not allow that limit.

Privacy

What the app collects and why is set out in the Privacy Policy.

Changes and contact

These terms may change; the date at the top changes with them. Questions: info@valyar.com.
